Family history
The Linsenbardt family's American story starts in 1847, when Johann Andreas Carl Linsenbarth and Eva Catharina Pösselin left Thüringen, Germany in search of a new start and settled in Cole County, Missouri, near what's now Jefferson City.
Along the way, a local pastor's spelling preference split the family name in two, which is why you'll find both Linsenbardt and Linsenbard branches today — all the same family underneath.
The family tree
This site's genealogy register traces the family from that first crossing in 1847 down to those of us still adding our own branches today. It's a living record, built from generations of research and always growing.
Whether you're just curious or you have names, dates, and photographs of your own to add, there's a place for you here.
